FURRIES!
I love furries forever. I was a furry since I was brought upon this earth. I've had an interest in animal centric media ever since I was a little kid, & things like these made me pursue art. The most noteable furry/animal influences on my childhood were probably Warrior Cats, Wings of Fire, Animal Jam, Ricky Ticky Tavi, Animaniacs, and... Most cartoons that aired for children in the 2000's-2010's as well as my own insatiable lust for knowing everything possible about every animal (Which still persists! Ha!) I got involved with the online furry community whenever I started to venture onto youtube & saw Furcon Compilations of the fursuiter Telephone- Which intrigued me beyond end. Fursuiting isn't a major aspect in my personal connection to furries, but I'd love to make a partial in the future. I'm also a dog for real just nobody knows.... shhh
I've cycled through about a hundred fursonas, but my current one's name is Gyro! Smile's a fox dingo seal wolf puppy thing, but I also draw xit as other creatures. You'll see her all over my page... He's my primary fursona. But I also have numerous objectsonas & persona. I made his first design in the summer of 2021 where he was feral & based on the Sparks from Fer.al- But eventually she became anthro and inspired by Zero from the Nightmare Before Christmas. I like them alot so I always draw them. Despite hamsters being my no.1 favorite animal(I know too much about them) I've never had a hamster fursona. I've also depicted rave as a bunny.

I HEART nostalgic furry content~!!! whether it's a 2010 Dinosaur's Go Rawr cat animated vid or a Shawn Keller 80's fursuit or a Furry Party invite from 1999.
I often pick around pages like Wikifur, Yerf, or Furaffinity or Tumblr Blogs like Yestfurday and Glamfurarchive to find older furry art... My favorite type of older furry artwork is glamfur, (Furry art inspired by scene, glam rock and anime aspects) scenefur, (Furry art inspired by scene) and sparklefurs/dogs. Creations of the kid 2 teen demographic pre 2010-2014 of eye aching wolf ocs with half bat half angel wings and devil horns and angel fang piercings and loud rainbow scene hair are my purest essence.

Yerf Also known as the Squeeky Clean Furry Archive, Yerf was one of the biggest archives of furry art that excluded NSFW or adult only content during its run. While intially being avalible for anyone, with time it added a new policy that included the quality of the art work. The approval process for this policy could take several months and even professional artists could have their art rejected, leading to elitism in the Yerf community. In December of 2004, the disk containing Yerf's servers failed and all the data had been lost.
However.. Yerf was fixed in August of 2005, and Yerf members had been posting on the LiveJournal Squeeky Clean Furry Archive in Yerf's abscene. However, the site would crash again then go up then crash again and was eventually abadoned. In 2007, The Yerf Historical Archive was created. A couple of users had gallery copies of most of the art pieces on Yerf, and creators who wished to have their artwork preserved here put their artwork into the Archive! This archive contains hundreds of artworks posted to Yerf between the years 1998 to 2004. By clicking on the paw button the page refreshes and shows you more artwork. I personally love this site & have so much fun getting lost looking at the artwork.
I love the clear inspiration from old cartoons showcased in many furry artworks from the 80's-90's, and the more anime feel in the ones from the early 000's. It's lovely and something I long to recreate.

Shawn Keller is one of my favorite producers of fursuits of all time. I'm unaware if he still produces suits as most of the suits I've seen of his are from the pre-000's. As I said in the Yerf segment, I adore how his fursuits look like a cartoon come to life! (Which makes sense because Keller was a Disney animator!) I wish more fursuits looked like this TT_TT Ahh It's so lovely....

Pinky and Pepper Forever by Eddy Atoms is a comic I recently read after getting into the Pinkie and the Jet Set Pets doll set. Its grown to be one of my favorite comics of all time! With the awesome traditional crayon (?) artwork to the doll in resin bath shown in Pinky's "Final Piece." Warning for brief sexual content, gore and suicide! It can be read on Silver Sprocket.
Utopia Mechanism is a slice of life science fiction comic made by my friend 343Guiltyshark/Jasper following the story of students Chester Moore and Felix Carter of Utopia City School for the Gifted- Finding a greater persuit in life but coming across unusual obstacles during their journey. The artwork is so stunning as are the colors (Sucker for palettes!) and all of the characters are incredibly charming. It's ongoing, and I seriously suggest people give it a whirl! Purrfect Apawcalypse is a dark comedy friendship sim VN series of three games about Olive, a super sweetsy mutt (rather Patches in the final game Patches Infurno) trying to survive a demon apocalypse started by a student from a seperate school!! It's super fun & doesn't take that long to play or 100%. All PA games have numerous endings, with differing good ones depending on the level of friendship/hearts other characters reach, and tons of different deaths you can have! Whenever I played I would die on purpose to see how many different deaths I could get... My personal favorite of the trio is Purrgatory Furever. All of the characters are very entertaining to me! Gore is present in every game so if that isn't your thing I'd suggest avoiding it, but otherwise- Check it out!

Ginger Claret (right) is my favorite character forevvverr. Ginger is shy and unconfident and relies on others for her self worth (like in her initial relationship with Patches.) She is also rather serious, and is usually unable to recognize if people are takign advantage of her. She's also really proficient in magic.
2nd Favorite would probably be Brownie (left) A super peppy jokester who's immediatley drawn to anyone who matches her energy. She often accidentally (or purposely) insults or offends people with her words and has to take effort to reduce her playful teasing after her friends mention they took it personally. She's headstrong and believes in thing first before thinking, and thrives on the attention of others. Puppygirl supreme
Fer.al was a game in early access that marked my whole world in 2020-2021... Fer.al was a mythical creature based MMO created by the company Wildworks taking place in the planet Fera, a planet inhabited by numerous different species. The species you play as are called Sparks- a shapeshifting species made of gemstone that massively migrated to Fer.al. As long as a spark has fervor, it can take the shape of anything it pleases. In Fer.al, you have the option to play as the following mythos: Kitsunes, Senri, Jackalope, Shinigami, Fae, Kirin, Werewolf, and Phoenix.
The player could explore the world of Fer.al, trade, play minigames, roleplay, do quests to find out lore, craft items and customize your character, etc. Despite it's glaring issues (Cosmetic focus instead of actual gameplay, eventually rarely responding to the community, useless updates, unfixed bugs, questionable content, and employee crunch) It was a relatively enjoyable game that consumed my mind until it was sunsetted after presumeably Wildworks ran out of funds and kickstarted an NFT game instead reusing Fer.al assets (aboslutely enraging the fanbase.) I really wish it didn't turn out so badly T_T as much as I picked at it it could've been sooo lovely. My favorite concept.
The Fer.al ost in general is GOOD (The composers at Wildworks are amazing) But this is my top fav!

Patricia Taxxon is one of my favoriteee electronic artists to date. Her crunchy instrumentals matched with the SOPHIE-like bounce of her music (reminiscent of BIPP, L.O.V.E, Ponyboy, and VYZEE by SOPHIE in particular) always scratches the itch in my brain. My favorite albums by it are Agnes & Hilda, The Flowers of Robert Mapplehorpe, Wax Over Wolcnum, and Gloria.
BEST Patty song of 2022. Great pop & crunch 10/10 made me more of a furry & now I have a fluffy tail I can't remove. Runnerups would be Overjissel, Girls, Safe Skin, Try The Wine, and Cilantro. Heart!
